Clogher don Óige helped bring the Year Of Vocation to a special end by hosting a Liturgy Training Day so that parishes could mark the end of the Year of Vocation with a special meaningful liturgy. The training day was delivered by Cathal O’ Connor, Mairead Murphy, Geraldine Breslin and Matthew McFadden from Clogher don Óige Team ably assisted by Kieran Harren, Sarah McCormick(technical experts) and Una McGinnity(music). The focus of the training day was to equip volunteers with the knowledge and skills necessary to coordinate a special liturgy in their own parishes. Volunteers were facilitated to come up with their own ideas to enhance the vocations liturgy, and supported in the development of these ideas.
The day was divided into three sessions
- Vocations – A New Look
- Liturgy for Vocations Sunday
- Working well as a coordinator
All who participated fully enjoyed the day and found it worthwhile and hopefully this will be reflected in a number of very special liturgies throughout the diocese to mark Vocations Sunday. The Clogher don óige team hope that young people will be able to get involved and contribute fully to this very special liturgy.
